How to buy a home (New or Resale):
- Call us
Call Ken Dluhy & Associates to discuss what you are looking for
in a home. We will either schedule a time for you to do a computer search
of all available homes, or we will search for you and email, fax, or
mail the printouts to you.
- Know your limits
Get pre-qualified by a lender to find out your loan limits and decide
how much you want to spend.
- Decide what you want
Narrow down the properties to the ones you would like to see and set
up a time for one of our agents to take you through them.
- Write an offer
Once you find the home of choice, you will write an offer to submit
to the seller. They have the choice to accept, reject, or "counter"
the offer. (Make a few changes and submit back to you for your acceptance
- Get approved
As soon as you have an accepted contract, you will need to meet again
with your lender to finish the loan process.
- Go to settlement
All inspections will have taken place and the lender will have all papers
finalized. As customary in the state of Maryland, settlement will occur
with the company the Buyer chooses on the date agreed upon in the contract.
